News: Sigma Alpha Epsilon Presents: Flex Out Hunger (@vtifc, @sae1856)

News: Alpha Phi Alpha Presents: Alpha Service Week [The Phinale]

The True Gentlemen of Alpha Phi Alpha are holding their annual service week this week, in which the men work to both give back to their community, and uphold the esteemed motto of the university, Ut Prosim. Make sure to get in contact with Mike Bray (bray.micheal@gmail.com) if you wish to help contribute to the project in any way.

News: Greek Awards Recap (@VTIFC, @VT_Panhellenic)

What if we told you that Greeks could come together for one night, and recognize one another for both their achievements in the community, the classroom, and as individuals? Would you think it could be accomplished?

Well, that's exactly what took place this past Monday, (April 18th) in Burruss Hall. Virginia Tech's Greek Awards Show took place and several hundred greeks were in attendance as the university's Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, and National Pan-Hellenic Council honored the best and brightest of their respective organizations. The event served as a closing ceremony to Greek Week 2011, in which all three councils came together to benefit the Montgomery County Christmas Store, which serves low-income families in Montgomery County during the Christmas season. Key True Gentlemen winners from the night included, Beta Theta Pi, Sigma Chi, Phi Sigma Kappa, Delta Sigma Phi, Pi Kappa Phi, Omega Psi Phi, and more! News: Kappa Delta Rho's 2nd Annual Brave The Shave!

Make sure to lookout for KDR as they get ready for their 2nd Annual Brave The Shave benefitting the B+ Foundation for Pediatric Cancer Research and Support! The True Gentlemen of KDR will be hosting small events all this week and next, culminating to the actual event, where the men will be shaving their heads in support of the cause. News: Kappa Delta 5KD Recap! (@kappadeltahq)

This past weekend Kappa Delta held their annual 5KD, a roadrace benefiting both Prevent Child Abuse America, and their local affiliate, NRV Cares. The event year-in and out, plays host to a slew of characters, anywhere from scantily clad fraternity men to mustached mystery men. News: Phi Beta Sigma [Mu Nu Chapter] - Neophyte Presentation Recap

The True Gentlemen of the Mu Nu chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. on April 9th at 7:14 PM (the time significant to the organization's founding; 1914), held their neophyte presentation at Dietrick Porch. Phi Beta Sigma, a member of NPHC (The Divine Nine), has worked with both IFC and PHC and has thereby impacted Greek Life, in several ways, with less than 1/10th of the size of many of the greek chapters at Tech. News: Phi Sigma Kappa Olympics!

Phi Sigma Kappa Olympics, Phi Sig's philanthropy, contributing to the Special Olympics, a global organization benefiting 200 million across the globe with disabilities, is a week-long affair with events ranging from a cookout to a day of Olympic-styled field games. Last year, Phi Sig, at Virginia Tech, made the single largest donation to the Special Olympics - Virginia, and they aspire to achieve that same goal, once again, this year. News: Oxfam Food Drive Results [Pics]

A big shout-out to the men and women of Chi Delta Alpha, Delta Sigma Phi, and Sigma Alpha Epsilon, for helping raise over 8000 lbs of food for the Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program! The food drive helped out individuals all across Montgomery County, who have used up or lost all of their public assistance benefits. Hit the jump to see more pictures from the event.

This Saturday from 1pm until 2am Sunday morning, Top of the Stairs will be playing host to Pi Kappa Phi's annual philanthropy, known as Sudflood, a music festival benefitting PUSH America, an organization dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities.
